The 4L85E transmission was developed by GM to handle the demand of high torque vehicles. The 4L85E transmission has been tested and is recommended for the HUMVEE®. The 4L80E is an automatic transmission that was designed to be highly durable. The transmission includes an added overdrive gear, a lock-up torque converter and advanced electronic controls.

6.5L a simply designed workhorse engine that made credible power, achieved decent fuel economy and met emission standards in half-tons trucks.
